TRENTHAM ESTATE

25 minute drive 

A special day out. 

With 725 acres of natural beauty to explore, Trentham Estate is home to award-winning Gardens, ancient woodland and a unique outdoor shopping village.

DUNHAM MASSEY

32 minute drive 

Take a stroll amongst the trees.   

Enjoy a peaceful walk through some of the oldest trees in Britain. This walk is two hours long but with relatively flat ground it’ll feel like no time at all. Dunham Massey is also home to around 150 fallow deer – maybe you’ll be lucky enough to spot some.   

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on short leads.

WIZARDS WANDER

40 minute drive  

Uncover the legend of Alderley Edge.  

Alderley Edge has a long history of magic and witchcraft, and you can discover some of the fabled sites on this hour long walk. Along with being the oldest metal-mining site in Britain, Alderley Edge is said to be home to a doorway into another realm – see if you can find it on your travels.  

Dogs are welcome but must be on leads during lambing season.

TATTON PARK

35 minute drive  

One of the UKs most complete historic estates. 

Tatton Park is a part of the National Trust and always has a variety of events being hosted for all ages to enjoy. Home to a Tudor Old Hall, 50 aces of landscaped gardens, a Neo-Classical Mansion, a rare breed farm and more, you'll have plenty to see and do.

THREE SHIRES HEAD

1 hour drive  

Head into the Peak District for this stunning view.  

Three Shires Head is where Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire all converge into one beautiful location. This walk is a bit longer at 4 hours, but well worth the effort. Take in the waterfalls and pools of the River Dane, and if it’s warm enough you can even go for a dip. Dogs are welcome.

QUARRY BANK SOUTHERN WOOD

40 minute drive 

Meander along the River Bollin.  

The Southern Woods are part of the Quarry Bank estate and this 45 minute walk take you through all the most interesting sites. Get a look at one of the last surviving 18th century cotton mills and, if you time your visit right, you’ll be treated to a beautiful carpet of bluebells as you walk through the woods.
