Hotel restaurant at Crewe Hall in Cheshire. 

What a lovely place would definitely recommend only stayed one night wish it was more and if we are up this was again would stay hear no doubt about it .the place is full of history lots to look at it like staying in a historic home .the place was clean, staff lovely and the breakfast was so good hot plentiful best breakfast we had in a long time .the swimming pools nice what more could u want from a hotel good breakfast ,staff, pool and historic place we walked around the building so beautiful just book

Room 402 was lovely, but it was far too cold. A staff member said they would return in 15 minutes to help, but nobody ever came back. I had to use a bath towel to keep warm.

Room carefully prepared. Thanks Holly. Good restaurant menu and food well presented. So quiet and comfortable that we overslept. In our hurry to get to our day's commitments, we left the safe open with jewellery inside. Thanks to Ellie for her late night actions and to Jackie from reception for personally retrieving. Grateful to all staff for their care and attention.

I can say with confidence that the experience from booking on the phone through to checking out was a breeze. We also booked a spa treatment. The professional thoughtful holistic beauticians/ masseurs were perfect at creating a gentle relaxing ambient environment for my mother who is 86 with Dementia. Thanks to the wonderful treatments ladies! The need to log in for our treatments was a little too taxing for us technophobes. Maybe an online pre booking in would be a suggestion for the future? We were very grateful for the consideration to our family room location being near the Spa and dining area. We all indulged in the excellent cuisine and wines on offer. Breakfast for my Gluten free needs was perfect, as I normally have little / no choice. Thank you! All staff including the receptionists, waiters, gardeners were ready to chat with a smile. We are ever so grateful for a marvellous stay which was not too stressful on the purse strings!!

Elegant tree lined drive up to the Hotel ( be careful of the large speed bumps) you just know your in for an amazing building! Beautiful place with lots of history & ghost stories. Fabulous art deco ceilings, I spent hours taking photos, keep looking up. So much to see. We had a room in The West Wing ( modern building) immaculately clean, fab bathroom with a bath & seperate shower cubicle. Fluffy white towels. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion & soap. Hot water on tap. Comfy beds, super pillows, nice garden view from windows that open right out. Nice & quiet. Had a great night's sleep. Hairdryer in the wardrobe. Various tea, coffee, kettle & 2 tiny biscuits. Really good Breakfast in the morning, with lots of choice. Cannot comment on the other food as we ate at an Indian restaurant. Bar prices expensive but that's to be expected in a grand Hotel. All staff are very nice & friendly. They give you a good welcome. We stayed bed & breakfast which was good value for money. I only knocked a star ⭐ off because we were looking forward to using the spa & having a swim but it was a long walk & my husband has problems with his knee. I did go & take a peek & it looked very nice. Also it was very busy & very noisy at breakfast & the older guy clearing the tables made such a din clattering everything & sprayingthe tables next to us while we were eating. That was a little annoying. I know he's probably on a time limit but he needs to chill a little. Apart from 2 little niggles everything was very enjoyable.

Amazing experience, 10/10 on arrival the girls on reception to the girls and lads in the restaurant, so friendly, Sophie, on Sheridan,s Bar, was very friendly indeed and patient with us both , when we was asking about certain drinks and mixers, made us feel so welcomed, lovely girl , thankyou Crewe hall team, Debbie and Joanne, x

Beautiful building, full of character & history. We walked around & had a good look at everything & it was amazing. We were hoping that our room would have been in the historic part of the hotel but it was not, although the room we did have was very comfortable. We stayed at this hotel in March & I left a review with the following comments:- Although the breakfast was nice, tables were left dirty & staff didn't really seem bothered, our dishes were not cleared away the whole time that we were there. It seems that the hotel is focusing on conferences & meetings rather than the hotel guests. This time that was all changed, tables were cleared very quickly & staff were interested in guests, a complete turnaround. So glad that we came back.

Crewe Hall used to be where we came for family celebrations but stopped when it went downhill so what a joy to return for afternoon tea and rekindle happy memories with fabulous food, great service from Chloe and Beth in the same historic surroundings. The new chef if clearly doing great things and we’ll be back!

Just wow a big shout out to chloe,and Beth, at the Sheridan bar, so friendly upon arrival, very knowledgeable on explaining the difference in specialities teas for our afternoon tea, they kept checking if all was OK, made our experience so amazing, thanks girls xx Debbie And Joanne, 💛💚🩵

Found this gem of a hotel and spa last minute for a few days getaway with my wife en route to visiting our daughter for the weekend. Booked a room in the old part of the hotel which were spacious and tastefully decorated. The team were really helpful in moving us to a more convenient room. The good during our stay was excellent and the service was the right side of attentive. We enjoyed some treatments in the spa as part of our package and these were extremely therapeutic, and the staff were really hospitable and professional. A great stay and would certainly go back.

I booked and paid in advance for a ground floor room with a shower cubicle rather than a shower over the bath. My wife cannot access a shower over the bath due to limited mobility. When we arrived the receptionist booked us into a ground floor room with a shower over the bath. I returned to the reception to complain and ask for another room. I was told me that such a room was not available, unless I paid for an upgrade. I insisted that she provide what was paid for. She said that i had paid through a central booking facility who did not communicate with the hotel reception and that i could not have the room booked. I expressed my disappointment at which she said that the upgrade could only be agreed by the manager. She would ask. She had difficulty contacting the manager and asked us to wait in the bar. After waiting for some time i returned to the reception to ask for an update on the situation. I was told the upgrade was approved but that the room was on the first floor with no lift access. She would deal with me when other guests arriving where dealt with first. The room we had was fine except for the mountain of 17 steps we had to climb to access it. My wife struggled with the steps but managed. My next complaint related to the invitation we had received to a special meal upgrade offered in the hotels majestic Ranulph Jacobean Dining room. I accepted the offer and paid the additional fee. I was then told by the reception that the meal was now moved into a different room as the promoted room was being refurbished. There was no apology that the terms of the meal upgrade offer were unmilitary changed with out any discussion or agreement, The alternative Dining room in the Oak Parlour was presented as a mater of fact that I had to accept. There was no suggestion that the upgrade meal offer could be withdrawn and revert to the original Dining room booking. At this point I gave up and accepted the situation. Overall the initial impression i received from your reception when I arrived was very disappointing. The rest of our stay for one night was enjoyable. All the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The meal was excellent.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at Crewe hall after visiting their health club. The afternoon tea was gorgeous!! I cannot say enough lovely things about Xavier and Clare. Their customer service was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. They were so welcoming and friendly and it made such a difference to our experience! So well done and thank you!

A fantastic hotel , impressive surroundings and spectacular history. Overall a good stay, staff were excellent , a little slow on food service during the day. The drapes and curtains in the bedrooms could do with a proper clean - dusty on four poster bed. Toilet tissue could be upgraded - its shredding before it left the roll! Great breakfasts, especially when catering for so many. Slow check out - silly queues at 11 am, but guess with 2 weddings expected. Stagger check out times ? Beware the speed bumps/pot holes on driveway….they do a good job that’s for sure! Otherwise thank you and an enjoyable stay

I came up to visit my brother for the weekend with my dog (Joey). The welcome, attentiveness and general attitude of every single staff member I met over the course of 24(ish) hours was superb and worthy of the 5 stars. bedroom was large, comfy bed and good, powerful shower. bar area great. breakfast in the morning was plentiful. Joey loved his time too! Plenty of areas for us to sit and relax - genuinely dog friendly and we'll be returning!

Really wonderful stay at Crewe Hall. Huge room with really comfy beds. Food in the restaurant was delicious and atmosphere was lovely. Breakfast was plentiful! Pool and spa area clean and not too busy. Only negatives were the afternoon tea was disappointing and service in the restaurant was slow. Would definitely come again

Beautiful Location, Beautiful Suite. A good variety of food on the evening menu. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and the food tasted amazing. Staff on reception desk were very welcoming, informative and all round a pleasure. Staff in the restaurant were very helpful, friendly and contributed to a lovely atmosphere. The downside was the spa, this was too busy and too small.

Stayed in royal suite, had a fabulous time enjoyed all the facilities gym, spa restaurant and bar. All the staff were friendly and helpful thank you for looking after us and making it a great visit

This was our 3rd time staying at Crewe Hall and we found it to be a lovely and relaxing couple of days. The room was very clean, however there were a couple of small areas where an improvement could have been made. My friend and I stayed in room 4143, which was set up as a twin bedded room. Firstly there were no drawers to put small items in, just a wardrobe. A small chest of drawers would be helpful to put small items such as underwear and T-shirts etc. in. Then the large mirror over the dressing table is placed too high on the wall, so that when you sit down in the chair you can only see the top of your head. We had to stand up and lean forwards to apply makeup and do our hair, which wasn't very comfortable. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful as always and there was a lovely atmosphere. We found the 2 night Spa Break to be good value for money and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast provided an excellent choice and was of a good quality. One other improvement that could be made is the current state of the long driveway up to the Hotel. There are many large potholes to avoid and a couple of the speed bumps are particularly harsh, even when going extremely slowly. We noticed a few cars that seemed to have had a problem going over them.

The hotel is very nice and all the staff were very friendly and helpful, however we must single out Xavier in the Sheridan Bar who was excellent and made the time spent there very enjoyable. The only minor criticism we had which is primarily targetted at the company rather than those running the hotel is that given the prices in the Restaurant we would have expected a higher standard of food eg homemade chips rather than what appeared to be frozen ones.
